Set in Colchester, Essex, in 300 acres of Constable country sits this award-winning and family-owned venue, which has been hosting weddings for more than 45 years. The rural hotel is reached via a long driveway, which passes between the stunning fairways of two championship golf courses.
There are 80 en suite bedrooms and a two AA Rosette restaurant. In the winter, the hotel is transformed, with log fires burning apple wood from the owner's family farm. Guests will love the five luxury lodges for accommodation in a secluded, woodland setting beside a beautiful lake.

Ceremonies are held in The Garden Room (85 guests) or The Constable Rooms (300 guests), both of which offer stunning vistas from their terraces. After the formalities, couples can choose from two reception settings. The fabulous Devora Suite (300 guests) features twinkling chandeliers and floor-to-ceiling windows to soak in the undulating countryside beyond. The Gainsborough Room (85 guests) is named after the famous local artist and leads out on to a private south-facing terrace. For a more boho vibe, the venue offers summer tipi weddings in a woodland setting within the grounds, followed by luxury overnight glamping.

We love... The venue offers the couple complimentary accommodation and a three-month membership to its fitness club in some packages. Newlyweds will enjoy being whisked around on a golf buggy to different picture-perfect spots in the grounds for photos.
