Colchester Weddings, which runs the historic Colchester Castle and Town Hall venues in the town has unveiled a beautiful new venue for this summer. The Old Library, located within the stunning Colchester Town Hall, is the perfect location for couples seeking a grand and versatile big-day setting.

Originally Colchester's first town centre public library, it's designed in classic Jacobean style. White lime-washed walls, high ceilings, curved timber gables and mullioned windows create an elegant space, which is flooded with natural light by day. When twilight falls, it's transformed into a glamorous location with twinkling chandeliers, stained-glass windows and an opulent marble bar. With two entrances and ornate stairs leading from the historic West Stockwell Street, this self-contained suite with reception, kitchen and cloakroom is an ideal setting for ceremonies, receptions and parties with up to 60 family and friends.
