Braintree theatre The Institute has announced an exciting line-up of acts for 2024 and beyond. The venue has over 30 performances listed, adding new shows to the website on a regular basis. From comedy and music to drama, kids’ shows and more, the Essex venue is a welcoming space at the heart of the town’s community.
First on the acts released are Britain's biggest rap group Goldie Lookin Chain on Saturday 3rd August. Well-known for classics like 'Your Missus is a Nutter' and 'Half Man, Half Machine', the Newport lads have been at the top of the charts and performed all over the world.
Also on the line-up are The Prodigy tribute Jilted Generation, performing on Friday 13th September in honour of what would have been close to Braintree icon Keith Flint's 55th birthday. Performing a diverse range of tracks, it's as close as you'll get to the real thing.
Tay Tay fans who didn't nab tickets to her tour fear not: the theatre has a Tayloy Swift tribute on Friday 22nd November. An electrifying show, Xenna captures every essence of Taylor's voice, looks and charisma. You can even enjoy a VIP Meet and Greet experience an hour before the performance.
But that's not all – The Institute has plenty more tributes, including The Vox Beatles (20 April), The Rolling Stones Story (26 April), Adele (11 May) and The Elton John Show (5 July).
"We want Braintree and the surrounding area to know how dedicated we are to providing top-class entertainment," say directors Jim Hollands and Lewis Codling. "We've spent months renovating our Grade II listed theatre back to its original glory, and want people to know this is only the start of what's to come. Watch this space!"
Customers can book online via The Institute website or by calling the box office on 01376 323228.
