Mr England visits Greenwoods
As a lance corporal in the King's Cold Stream guards at Buckingham Palace, recently crowned Mr England Manuel Alcantara Turner doesn't have too much time to relax so when he got the opportunity for a rare weekend off, he booked his girlfriend Steph in to sample the delights of Greenwoods Hotel and Spa in Stock, Essex. Manuel Alcantara Turner who was born in Spain but now lives in Windsor and is the first solider to have won a beauty pageant such as Mr England and was crowned in Autumn of last year.

After checking in the two enjoyed a energising session in the hotel gym under the watchful eye of gym manager Robin Hart, then took to the spa for some well-deserved pampering. The award-winning spa has undergone a recent renovation and is a really beautiful space decorated in soft pastel shades with therapy rooms, manicure and pedicure room and a Moroccan-inspired relaxing room with welcoming heated mosaic tiled beds.
After a swim and a sauna they enjoyed a facial and massage then had fun back in the room sampling face masks from the collection. Dinner was served in Ellis's restaurant that's opened to general public as well as hotel guests and serves a fabulous blend of English and Mediterranean food in elegant surroundings with the lounge bar available for pre and post dinner drinks.

Manu said: "It was so mice just to get away for a weekend. My job is fairly demanding and it was great to spend some just chilling with Steph in such lovely surroundings. The spa and restaurant team were all friendly and welcoming and the room was fabulous - a real special stay."
